Das Orga-Team besteht zur Zeit aus fünf Personen:
Dr.in Regina Müller
Regina ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Philosophie der Universität Bremen. Vorher war sie als Gastprofessorin für Philosophie und Ethik an der BTU und als Vertretungsprofessorin für Medizinethik an der Universität Göttingen tätig. 2023 war sie Caroline Miles Fellowship am Ethox Centre der Universität Oxford. Regina studierte Philosophie (Universität Regensburg), Angewandte Ethik (Universität Jena) und promovierte in der Medizinethik (Universität Greifswald). Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen in der Angewandten Ethik, insbesondere in der Medizin- und Digitalethik, der Feministischen Philosophie, sowie struktureller Ungerechtigkeit. Regina ist Initiatorin der FME Gruppe und gemeinsam mit Mirjam Faissner Leiterin des DFG Netzwerkes „Bioethik und Strukturelle Ungerechtikgeit“. Regina is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Philosophy at the University Bremen, Germany. 2025 she worked as a Visiting Professor at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), 2024 as Interim Professor at the Institute for Ethics and History of Medicine at the University Medical Center Göttingen, and 2023 she was Caroline Miles Fellowship at the Ethox Centre at the University Oxford. Her professional background is in Philosophy (University Regensburg) and Applied Ethics (University Jena). Her primary research areas include applied ethics, in particular biomedical and digital ethics, feminist philosophy, and structural injustice. Regina has strong interests in feminist-ethical perspectives and their interplay with digital developments and medicine. Regina initiated the FME group and is lead of the DFG Network „Bioethics and Structural Injustice“ together with Mirjam Faissner. Learn more about her research.

Dr.in med. Mirjam Faissner, M.A.
Mirjam arbeitet seit Juni 2023 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Geschichte der Medizin und Ethik in der Medizin an der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Vorher leitete sie das Forschungsprojekt INTERSECT an der LWL-Universitätsklinik für Psychiatrie, Psychotherapie und Präventivmedizin der Ruhr-Universität Bochum, das sich mit intersektionaler Diskriminierung in der Psychiatrie beschäftigt. Mirjam studierte Medizin und Philosophie (in Hamburg, Straßburg, Paris und London) und promovierte in der Psychiatrie (am Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf). In ihrer Forschung beschäftigt sich Mirjam mit dem Zusammenhang von struktureller Unterdrückung und Gesundheit, epistemischer Ungerechtigkeit im Gesundheitssystem, ethischen Fragen in der Psychiatrie sowie partizipativen Forschungsmethoden.
Mirjam works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of the History of Medicine and Ethics in Medicine at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin since June 2023. Previously, she has led the research project INTERSECT at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Preventive Medicine at the Ruhr University Bochum, which focuses on intersectional discrimination in psychiatry. Mirjam studied medicine and philosophy (in Hamburg, Strasbourg, Paris and London) and received her medical dissertation in psychiatry (at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf). Mirjam’s research focuses on the relationship of structural oppression and health, epistemic injustice in the health care system, ethical issues in psychiatry, and participatory research methods.
PD Dr.in phil. Merle Weßel
Merle ist Diversity-Beautragte der Landshauptstadt Hannover und Lehrbeauftragte an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg sowie an der Kommunalen Hochschule für Verwaltung in Niedersachsen. Sie studierte Geschichtswissenschaft, Literaturwissenschaft und European Studies in Göttingen, Bielefeld und Helsinki und promovierte in Area and Cultural Studies/Nordic Studies an der Universität Helsinki. Sie habilitierte sich an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg mit der venia legendi „Geschichte, Theorie, Ethik der Medizin“. 2023 war sie Caroline Miles Fellow an der University of Oxford. Ihre Arbeits- und Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Feministischen Theorie und Ethik, insbesondere Intersektionalität und Diversität, sowie der Feministischen Medizingeschichte mit einem Fokus auf Nordeuropa. Sie hat Projekte zu Intersektionalität und Diversität in Pflegerobotik und Rassismus in der Medizin, sowie Live-in Versorgung geleitet. Zurzeit entwickelt sie eine Diversity-Strategie für die Landeshauptstadt Hannover
Merle is diversity officer at the city of Hannover and docent at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and the University of Administration Lower Saxony. She studied history, literature and European studies in Göttingen, Bielefeld and Helsinki. She holds a PhD in Area and Cultural Studies/Nordic Studies from the University of Helsinki. She holds a habilitation from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg with the venia legendi „History, Theory and Ethics of Medicine“. In 2023 she was Caroline Miles Fellow at Oxford University. Her research interests are in feminist theory and feminist ethics, with a special focus in intersectionality and diversity, as well as feminist medical history in the Nordic countries. She led projects on intersectionality and diversity in care robotics and racism in medicine, as well as live-in care. Currently she develops a diversity strategy for the city of Hannover.

Dr.in phil. Isabella Marcinski-Michel
Isabella ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin (Postdoc) am Institut für Geschichte der Medizin und Ethik in der Medizin der Charite – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Sie hat an der Freien Universität und der Humboldt Universität Berlin Philosophie und Gender Studies studiert und an der Freien Universität Berlin in Philosophie promoviert. In ihrer Dissertation entwarf sie eine kritische Phänomenologie der Essstörungen. In Berlin leitet sie das Teilprojekt zur Ethik der Reproduktion(smedizin) in der DFG-Forschungsgruppe „Medizin und die Zeitstruktur guten Lebens“. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Ethik der Reproduktion, der philosophischen und medizinethischen Perspektiven auf Schwangerschaft und Geburt sowie der Phänomenologie der Medizin und Psychiatrie, insbesondere in Bezug auf Essstörungen.
Isabella is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for the History of Medicine and Ethics in Medicine at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She studied philosophy and gender studies at Freie Universität and Humboldt Universität Berlin and received her PhD in philosophy at Freie Universität Berlin. In her dissertation, she developed a critical phenomenology of eating disorders.In Berlin, she heads the sub-project on the ethics of reproductive medicine in the DFG research group „Medicine, time and Good Life.“ Her research focuses on the ethics of reproduction, philosophical and medical-ethical perspectives on pregnancy and birth, and the phenomenology of medicine and psychiatry, particularly in relation to eating disorders.

Stefanie Weigold, M.A.
Stefanie Weigold arbeitet seit 2021 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Medizinethik an der Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel und ist seit 2024 Gastwissenschaftlerin am Institut für Ethik, Geschichte und Theorie der Medizin der Universität Münster. Sie promoviert zu ethischen, soziopolitischen und ökonomischen Aspekten von Reproduktionstechnologien, mit speziellem Fokus auf die Auslagerung der Schwangerschaft (Ektogestation und Artifizielle Amnion und Plazenta Technologie). Stefanie studierte Kultur/Theater/Film mit Schwerpunkt Kulturanthropologie und Soziologie an der Universität Mainz sowie Philosophie an der Universität Potsdam. Zu ihren Themen- und Forschungsschwerpunkten zählen feministische Theorie, politische Philosophie und Theorien sozialer Gerechtigkeit.
Stefanie Weigold has been working as a research fellow in medical ethics at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel since 2021 and as a guest researcher at the Institute for Ethics, History and Theory of Medicine at the University of Münster since 2024. Her doctoral thesis focuses on ethical, socio-political and economic aspects of reproductive technologies, with a special focus on the externalization of pregnancy (ectogestation and artificial amnion and placenta technology). Stefanie studied culture/theatre/film with a focus on cultural anthropology and sociology at the University of Mainz and philosophy at the University of Potsdam. Her main research interests are feminist theory, political philosophy and theories of social justice.
